Seongyeong Bae is a pianist from South Korea.

She began playing the piano at the age of five and soon distinguished herself by winning numerous first prizes in national competitions in her home country. She continued her artistic education in Germany, completing her Master’s degree under Prof. Andreas Frölich at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln — a significant milestone that marked the beginning of her musical career in Europe.

As part of her international concert activities, she participated in the renowned Piano Loop Winter Academy in Split (Croatia), after which she was invited to perform as a soloist in a concert series for young pianists. Shortly thereafter, she won first prize at both the International Piano Competition “Laszlo Spezzaferri” in Verona and the Music Festival in Paris — accolades that underscore her exceptional artistic talent.

At the turn of the year 2023/24, Seongyeong Bae was awarded a scholarship by the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation. As part of this prestigious program, she performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Hagen and gave acclaimed solo recitals in numerous cities across North Rhine-Westphalia, including Stadtlohn, Eitorf, Bramsche, Wetter (Ruhr), Koblenz, Tecklenburg, Essen, Grevenbrück, Gummersbach, and Oelde.

In spring 2025, she was selected as a solo pianist for the renowned concert series “Best of NRW” (2024/25 season). As part of this tour, she performed in prominent concert halls in Senden, Witten, Finnentrop, Unna, Bottrop, Essen-Borbeck, Stadtlohn, Schwelm, Herdecke, and Raesfeld, captivating both audiences and critics alike.

Seongyeong Bae is known for her exceptional artistic maturity, technical brilliance, and profound musicality — qualities that make her one of the most promising pianists of her generation.
